This medication is not a cure HIV but averts further damage to the immune system by deterring the production of new HIV virus.

How to use Kivexa (Abacavir/Lamivudine)?

This medication needs to be swallowed whole with water, without food as directed by your doctor. The normal dose is one tablet per day. Since this medication is a combination drug and contains fixed doses of abacavir and lamivudine, it should only be consumed when your doctor affirms that the doses of both abacavir and lamivudine are right for you.
