Amiodarone belongs to the class of drugs known as antiarrhythmic drugs. It works by blocking the electrical impulses that cause irregular heartbeat thus restoring and maintaining steady and normal heart rhythm. The effect of this medication can be seen as early as 4 days after starting the treatment and within 3-4 weeks it starts showing the beneficial effects too.

How to use Cordarone?

Cordarone comes in the tablets of 100 mg, 200 mg, and 400 mg strengths. This medication is to be taken once daily preferably at the same time of the day. This medication treatment requires regular follow up visits and blood work just to ensure how the body is responding to the drug.

What if I miss the dose of Cordarone?
